Villagers in mid western Nepal rescued more than five dozen people including women and children after a passenger bus got stuck in an overflowing river. The bus got caught in the strong current while trying to cross a river in Chakli Khola of Salyan district. The incident occurred last week. Pedestrians and vehicles plying along the routes are forced to cross several rivers in absence of bridge. It can be extremely dangerous ride during monsoon when rivers swell with waters.

Villagers rushed to the stop when passengers and bus crew screamed for help after they were caught in flooded rivers. Amateur video footage shows villagers rescuing the passengers with ropes and stair.
