Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said Monday’s terrorist attack on busy street of Afghanistan’s Capital Kabul was vicious crimes committed against the innocent people. The death toll in the explosion that occurred a suicide attacker detonated a car packed with explosives against a bus carrying civil servants in Kabul’s Ghulayee Dawa Khan Area has risen to 36 as of Wednesday. Dozens more including children who were injured in the attack are undergoing treatments in various hospitals, according to local media.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

“Such acts of terror and atrocity, widely condemned by the people and Government, further nourish the hatred of the public against the terrorist groups,” Ghani said as he condemned the attack.

He said that the recent terror attacks carried out by terrorists prove their defeat in the battlefield since the ANDSF has inflicted heavy casualties on them.

“The terrorists once again showed that they have always flouted Islamic and human rights principles, leaving a heavier record of vicious crimes committed against the innocent people,” said Ghani.

Afghanistan, Ghani added, has always emphasized eradicating the terrorist groups without any distinction of good or bad. The Government has also reinforced and integrated its Defense and Security forces to eliminate the terrorist outfits.
