Cricket fans across South Asia reacted with joy and shock after Pakistan clinched the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title by beating arch rival India.

Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs in final match held in Oval Stadium, London, on Sunday. The match was watched by millions of cricket fans across the globe.
Pakistan posted a formidable 338 for four with the bats aided by a spectacular ton from Fakhar Zaman, who scored 114 off 106 balls. But the biggest surprise came from Pakistani bowling lineup who bowled out India in 30.3 overs.

Mohammed Amir proved especially lethal with balls. Amir bagged three wickets and two maidens in his opening spell of six overs.
Hardik Pandya’s 43-ball 76 was the only notable runs in the India’s scoreboard. Seven of the Indian batsmen returned to the pavilion with single digit score. Indian captain Birat Kohli and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni scored 5 and 4 runs respectively.
Even before Pakistan had won the match, Pakistani cricket fans in their millions thronged to the streets with Pakistani flags. Cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi woke up till midnight chanting slogan in praise of their national team.

In India, the mood was just opposite. While some cricket fans felt sorry for their team, many others were visibly taken aback with the performance of their players.
In some cities, some unruly cricket fans even chanted slogan against the players.
